At the conference “Science, Business, and Sustainability: A Necessary Dialogue to Build the Future,” organized by Ciencia en Sociedad, experts from the scientific and business fields gathered to analyze collaboration between these sectors in facing the sustainability, innovation, and energy transition challenges confronting today’s society.

Jorge Ballester, Director of the Elecnor Foundation and Communications Manager of the group, focused on the Ulysses Project: Data for Science, highlighting it as an initiative that brings scientific knowledge closer to society and supports scientific outreach and education. For Ballester, Ulysses represents a commitment to fostering STEM vocations and strengthening scientific culture as a pillar of social progress, emphasizing the importance of building strong bridges between science, business, and citizens to address complex global challenges.

The panel also included Marina Torres, who shared her perspective on the relationship between scientific research and its application in business contexts, and Javier Ruiz, who offered insights on integrating environmental and social sustainability criteria into corporate strategies.

This meeting highlighted the need to strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration between science, business, and society to develop solutions that drive a more sustainable and innovative future.
